Hugsofa is the brainchild of Hari & Riya, a duo with a cumulative experience of 2 decades in the luxury furniture industry.
Backed by more than a decade of experience in the furniture industry, Hari has always been inspired to strengthen the luxury furniture market in the country. A rainmaker in the truest sense, Hari has transformed the business for several leading furniture brands, both Indian & International, by wearing multiple hats including Head of Brand & Head of Business Development. Hari gained more in-depth training in Meda, Italy’s furniture paradise.
Working with Australian, French, Italian & Indian brands in global markets has equipped Hari with a unique sense of blending the best from all worlds & enables him with the expertise to head the business, growth & operations at Hugsofa.
The heart of Hugsofa, Riya is the creative genius behind the designs & execution of the timeless pieces. Formally trained in Interior Design, Riya indulges in creating moodboards & colour palettes. In her 5 years of working in the design industry, she has not only curated & conceptualised both commercial & residential projects, but has also worked with multiple Italian furniture brands, bridging the gap between the architects & the brands’ vision.
Over the course of time, Riya developed an unparalleled sense of aesthetics, space & architectural language. She underwent training in Italy’s furniture Haven – Meda; and visited Italian factories to study the fundamentals of what puts Italian furniture on the map.
